On a Spring Sunday Im reminiscing this photoshoot taken on a Sunday on a winters day :-)
It was one week before Christmas day on a cold, dark and windy morning. I was walking through the empty streets of Kemptown Village as the fairy lights lit up a magical scene. Cafeterias decorated with tinsel and Christmas trees were opening up, delicatessens and newsagents where having their deliveries of freshly baked goods and Sunday newspapers.
I was embracing the surroundings whilst doing a mental list of the images i wanted to create and in which order.. intimate ones by the beach, some fun ones and a pub scene for sure as I have been wanting to take some pictures in an old English pub for sometime!

By the time I made it to the beach and met Margarita and Richard other early swimmers where screaming and laughing having a morning dip after a night out in the cold water whilst seagulls where dancing and singing up above us.

As some of you might know, Im always counting the days left for one of my favourite seasons, Spring! But there is something very special and poetic about a cold winters day by the seaside don’t you think? So I embraced the day and although it was ever so cold and windy, we had a lot of fun taking the pictures. Afterwards we managed to improvise a pub scene ( yay!) where we drank delicious mulled wine to keep us warm and I got to know the story behind on how Richard and Margarita met in Colombia, who have been happily married for 20 years ♥️
