Food Photography in an English Garden

A couple of days ago I watched a beautiful movie called ‘ Nonas ’ with Vince Vaughn and a wonderful female cast including one of my favourite actresses, Susan Sarandon. Such a gorgeous, lovely, funny, heartwarming true story, which I recommend If you haven’t seen it yet is on Netflix reminded me growing up hearing my mother talking endlessly on the phone to my lovely aunties Marina and Mercedes exchanging recipes on the phone of their recent invented culinary delights.

Years later i was the one phoning my mother for that delicious lemon cake recipe whilst jotting down the measurements and oven temperature on a random piece of paper.Sweet memories come to mind also when I was living in Maida Vale, London, were my apartment was an open door for brunches and dinners for my friends in the hood filling the room with warmth, endless conversations and always lots of laughter whilst Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse, Sade, Jammie Cullum or Diana Krall accompanied us with their beautiful melody.

And so from then on Ive always loved cooking for friends and family showing off following recipes from Ottolenghi or Nigel Slater books :-)

Having finally completed redesigning my website, I've added my food photography portfolio including the pictures in this post which I took during unsettling times in between lockdown with lovely @fuchsia_blooms

We were so excited to work again doing what we love it made the day so much fun that we were 8 hours non stop creating and taking photos!
